National Education Association
We rejected the reinstatement of corporal punishment in all schools and a mandatory one-year labor program that takes place between 11th and 12th grade, which was for $400,000. Child labor should not be mandatory, and there is no specific reason for this. We don’t support corporal punishment for child labor in our platform, and we believe it would ruin our campaign and our country, ruining the health of children. There would not be enough education, and it would be like slavery. So, we rejected this offer.
United Mine Wokers
The People’s Progressive Party believes that National Parks and Monuments should remain preserved as they are, and should not be utilized for human gain. These parks are in place to protect wildlife and memorialized areas. Countless ecosystems, historical landmarks, and other such territories would suffer greatly from mining and drilling for resources as many of them are incredibly fragile. Pollution is, at present, an important issue that these parks and monuments face, and accepting this offer at the cost of these parks’ environments would do far more harm than good.
High Times Inc
The Hain campaign has made the decision to accept the offer from High Times, Inc. to endorse the legalization of marijuana for all Americans over the age of 16 – with a tax rate of 50% on all marijuana sold as well as a 75% tax on junk food to be given to education – in exchange for a campaign donation of $450,000. As of 2021, the data is clear on the proven medical benefits of marijuana as well as the lack of risk involved with its recreational and medical usage. Furthermore, the added sales tax contributing to educational funds has the opportunity to greatly add to an already improving education system. The benefits clearly and unequivocally outweigh any risks, and for this reason the offer is henceforth accepted.
